Cultural Competency "Understanding Others, Understanding Ourselves"
Join us for the fifth in our "Understanding Others, Understanding Ourselves" cultural competence workshops about serving diverse senior populations. This session will focus on pain management, issues of death and dying, advance directives and mobility and transportation.
Our presenter is Margie Akin, PhD, Cultural Anthropologist with more than a decade of experience working with health care providers, medical and dental plans and community service organizations. She has designed and delivered training programs for clinicians, administrations and health care plan staff at all levels of health care organizations. This three hour workshop is limited to 35 attendees, and advance registration is required..
